Aluminum

AMCO 64*

Chloride-free, high-viscosity organic based flux compound for low-temperature, 350-550 degree F (177-288 C) aluminum soldering. Preferred solders are 63Pb/34Sn/3Zn, 91Sn/9Zn, 50Sn/50Pb.

AMCO 66A

Reaction-type flux recommended for high-temperature soldering of aluminum. AMCO 66A deposits zinc on the aluminum surfaces when heated to soldering temperature. The solder must be preplaced prior to heating because of the short flux reaction time. A typical use is in soldering of air conditioning coils. Zinc-aluminum solders recommended for use with AMCO 66A include 95Zn/5Al, 98Zn/2Al and pure Zn solders.

Working range: 720-800F

AMCO 69*

Chlorine-free organic flux for soft soldering of aluminum. For high temperature manual torch soldering. Used to bond aluminum to itself or to copper wire or cable.

AMCO 105*

Low-staining furnace brazing flux with high-activity. Usable on all types of brazeable aluminum alloys.

Conforms to AWS Class FB1-B.

AMCO 2213

An industry standard. A high-activity, chloride-free, viscous liquid flux for low temperature soldering aluminum to most ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Residue is removed with hot water. Lower in viscosity than AMCO 64.

AMCO 4015

Brazing flux for aluminum and aluminum alloys at temperatures of 1050F and above. It is designed specifically for torch and furnace brazing operations. Available in white, blue and green.

Conforms to AMS 3412.

AMCO 5135

Chloride free liquid, low viscosity version of Amco 2213 designed specifically for soldering to aluminum, to copper and to stainless steel. This flux is formulated with amines and complex inorganic fluorides with an optimal temperature range of 350F - 550F. Excellent results when used with 91Sn/9Z, 63Pb/34/Sn/3Zn or 50Sn/50Zn soldering alloys.

AMCO 5149

A paste flux for soldering aluminum.AMCO 5149 is a white to light brown paste with no discernable odor.


Cast on Strap

AMCO 4590

AMCO 4590 has provided excellent results for decades on both existing technology and first-generation COS equipment. This water-based flux increases bond integrity, minimizes porosity while eliminating potential flash-over hazards found with oil based materials.

Conforms to Fed Spec OF-506B Type I Form B.

AMCO 4701-T

AMCO 4701-T flux is a concentrated formulation developed specifically for the soldering of copper, copper-based alloys and specialty copper-based metals such as beryllium copper. It has been designed for the soldering of copper radiators. AMCO 4701-T is a water-based flux that can be diluted with tap water.

Conforms to Fed Spec OF-506B Type I Form B.

AMCO 4800

A water based formulation proven for over four decades on all types of COS systems. It minimizes porosity without sacrificing bond integrity and is considered a charter formulation for the COS process.

AMCO 4885

A water based formula, this flux maximizes the pot life of 4590 while maintaining the high activity levels of 4800. Additionally, this flux has proven very adaptable and has global acceptance for use on TBS machines.

AMCO 4955

A halogen-free formulation designed for the recombinant battery. There are no sites for corrosion and is non-staining on the separators. Synergistically, improves battery life.

AMCO 4963

Improves the electrical flow of current by eliminating voids between the lugs and the cast-on-strap, thus increasing the efficiency of the battery. It maximizes the bond strength between the strap and grid tab. AMCO 4963 has been tested on all COS machines with excellent results. It is water based and therefore does not raise a fire hazard issue.

AMCO 5093

A solvent based chloride-free flux that is especially developed for the soldering of battery plates to cast-on-straps. The active ingredients working in synergy promotes the formation of solid and strong metallurgical bond. The rapid concentration of its active ingredients makes it ideally suited for high volume production.

Conforms to Fed. Spec. OF-506B Type I Form B.


Dross Treatment

AMCO SALBRICK

Solid brick of sal-ammoniac. Quickly cleans and re-tins soldering iron tips. Simply rub the hot iron tip on the brick, then melt fresh solder on the tip.


Electrical

AMCO 64*

AMCO 5135

chloride free liquid, low viscosity version of Amco 2213 designed specifically for soldering to aluminum, to copper and to stainless steel. This flux is formulated with amines and complex inorganic fluorides with an optimal temperature range of 350F - 550F. General

AMCO 121

A highly activated, inorganic, water base flux specifically designed for stainless steel alloys containing 11-27% chromium. Excellent low to medium range temperature characteristics, used with soft solder. A balanced blend of zinc and ammonium chlorides, wetting agents and activator. Can be applied to the faying surface without prior treatment of the metal.

Conforms to OF-506C Type II Form B, superseded by Mil Spec AA 51145 Type I Form B.

AMCO 4363

Soldering paste for standard insulated copper cable and lead clamps used in the battery and related industries. This product prevents wicking and is non-corrosive.

AMCO 5080

A paste flux for copper base and precious metals. It is also suitable for joining tin plate. Promotes excellent soldering wetting while being less corrosive than other paste fluxes. Residue easily removed with water.

AMCO BLITZ

ALPHA 200L

A clear general purpose soldering flux for use with all common metals except aluminum. It is a specially formulated mixture of inorganic salts in water, with approximately 40-50% active ingredients.

AMCO 2236

A clear general purpose soldering flux for use with all common metals except aluminum. It is a specially formulated mixture of inorganic salts in water, with approximately 40 -50% active ingredients.

AMCO 2719

Designed for high temperature solder application. It contains 50% active solids. Used on all common metals except aluminum. Contains Zinc Chloride.

AMCO 4641

A clear general purpose soldering flux for use with all common metals except aluminum. It is a specially formulated mixture of inorganic salts in water, with approximately 35-40% active ingredients. Conforms to Mil Spec AA51145C Type I, Form B and Fed. Spec. OF506B Type I, Form B.

AMCO BLITZ

AMCO LYTESTONE

Water based flux used in general purpose application on brass, copper, nickel, and iron surfaces.

Conforms to Fed. Spec. OF506B Type I, Form B.

AMCO WETOIL

A general-purpose soldering flux containing 30-35% active ingredients. It is designed for use on all common metals except aluminum and stainless steel. Additionally, it can be used in both automated and manual processes. Contains neutralizing chemicals to minimize corrosion.

Liquid Soldering Fluxes

AMCO 121

A highly activated, water-based inorganic flux, formulated for most stainless steel alloys containing 11-27% chromium. It is a blend of zinc and ammonium chlorides, wetting agent and activators.

Conforms to OF-506C Type II Form B, superseded by Mil Spec AA 51145 Type I Form B.

AMCO 4701

A concentrated formulation developed specifically for the soldering of copper, copper-based alloys and specialty copper-based metals. A water-based flux that can be diluted with water. AMCO 4701-T has also been proven successful for soldering copper radiators.

Plumbing

AMCO 5004

A smooth paste of inorganic powders and water for use as a pipe joining flux in the plumbing industry. AMCO 5004 also pre-tins the joint, allowing deeper penetration of solder.

For use with 95/5 Sn/Sb and most Sn/Pb soft solders.

AMCO 5080

A paste flux for copper base and precious metals. It is also suitable for joining tin plate. Promotes excellent soldering wetting while being less corrosive than other paste fluxes. Residue easily removed with water.


Stained Glass

AMCO 4701

Concentrated formulation developed specifically for the soldering of copper, copper based alloys and specialty copper based metals such as beryllium copper. It is a water-based flux and can be diluted with tap water. Also designed for the soldering of copper radiators.

Tinplate

AMCO 3523

Rosin base flux dispersed in an alcohol solvent. Primarily formulated for use on most brass, bronze, copper, nickel, gold and tin.

Conforms to Fed Spec OF-506B Type I Form B.

AMCO 4327

A non-corrosive flux which contains a highly refined resin, activator, and stabilizer in a blend of alcohol solvents. Used for soldering handles and nozzles on F-style cans and in the fabrication of 5 gallon square cans that are air tested for leakage. AMCO 4327 is the dependable choice. It induces capillary action of solder completely around the joint, forming a strong, permanent bond. Leaves a colorless, non-staining, non-corrosive residue. Designed for use with most Sn/Pb soft solders.

AMCO 4453A

Mildly active flux specifically formulated for joining pewter and tin based metals. It contains thickening agent for precise spotting of flux. The flux residue is easily rinsed off with water. Best results obtained with tin-bismuth solder.
